Jay Co. Grad Ludy Drafted By Phillies

Jay County high school graduate and Baylor University senior Josh Ludy heard his named called in the eighth round of the MLB draft on Tuesday afternoon as the catcher was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies.

Ludy was taken with the 278th overall pick.

Ludy and the Bears will play Arkansas in Super Regional action this weekend.

Ludy is hitting a team-best .368 this season. His 15 home runs and 82 hits lead the team.
