Walker Russell Returning To Mad Ants

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - WANE's Joe Whelan first reported Walker Russell was likely to be back with the Mad Ants this past Friday. As of Tuesday afternoon, that is indeed the case.

Russell has re-signed with the Ants. He played 16 games in Fort Wayne last year, averaging 16 points and 9.9 assists. Russell was called up to the Detroit Pistons after two months with the Ants. He averaged 3 points in 28 games for Detroit.

The Ants have the no. 1 pick in this year's NBA D-League draft scheduled for this Friday.
