FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - James Hardy's rookie season started with a bang: a game-winning catch in week two against Jacksonville. However, his season ended with a devastating knee injury in week 15, tearing the ACL in his left knee.
Hardy even come close to putting up the numbers he hoped to in his rookie year. The Elmhurst and IU standout pulling in just nine receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns.
Throw in that week 15 knee injury and Hardy has had plenty to work toward in his second year in the NFL.
Hardy was placed on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list before the season and will be eligible to play in week seven when Buffalo visits Carolina.
With Terrell Owens on the team, Hardy has acted as a sponge soaking up all the knowledge he can from one of the NFL's best wide receivers.
Buffalo is off to a 1-3 start and Hardy is hopeful he can lead a turnaround when he returns to the field in a couple of weeks.
