Mitchell Is NBDL Performer Of The Week

Tony Mitchell of the Fort Wayne Mad Ants was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Dec. 31 – Jan 6.  

A 6-6, 216-pound forward out of Alabama, Mitchell led the Mad Ants to back-to-back wins over the Santa Cruz Warriors, averaging 21.5 points, to go along with 7.0, rpg, 3.0 apg, and 2.5 spg.  On Jan 3, he recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and collecting 16 rebounds in a 102-86 victory over the Warriors.

Other top performers considered include Austin’s Jamarr Sanders, Bakersfield’s Jerel McNeal, Canton’s John Leuer, Erie’s D.J. Kennedy, Idaho’s Seth Evans, Los Angeles’ Robert Sacre, on assignment from the Los Angeles Lakers, Maine’s DaJuan Summers, Rio Grande Valley’s Andrew Goudelock, Reno’s Antoine Wright, Santa Cruz’s Travis Leslie, Sioux Falls’ Donald Sloan, Texas’ Mike James and Tulsa’s Perry Jones.
