Mad Ants Fall At Home To Maine 115-109

Ants host Maine again Friday

The Maine Red Claws used a strong second half to defeat the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 115-109.

 
The Mad Ants had a quick 12-5 lead to start the game. Darnell Lazare scored 13 first quarter points to give the Mad Ants a 29-24 lead.
 
The Red Claws outscored the Mad Ants 32-29 in the second to cut the lead to just two points. Kenny Hayes had 16 first half points for the Red Claws as they trailed the Mad Ants 56-58 going into the locker rooms at the half.
 
The Red Claws controlled the third and led, 83-81 at the end of the period. They continued to control the tempo of the game and outscored the Mad Ants 32-28 in the fourth to finish the game.
 
Lazare led all scorers with 31 points and 11 rebounds for the Mad Ants. Cameron Jones added 28 points and Sadiel Rojas pulled down 10 rebounds.
 
The Red Claws had 7 players finish in double figures with Hayes leading the way with 26 points. Morris Almond finished with 20points.
 

These two teams will meet again tomorrow night at the Memorial Coliseum for a 7:30pm game.
