FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants announced today that they have traded Jarrid Famous and Darnell Dodson to the Los Angeles D-Fenders in exchange for Dairese Gary.
An Elkhart, Indiana native, Dairese Gary, a 6’1” guard out of the University of New Mexico, was drafted by the LA D-Fenders in the first round of the 2012 NBA Development League draft. Gary averaged 14.1 points, 5.5 assists, and 3.2 rebounds during his senior year at UNM.
Jarrid Famous, a 6’11” forward out of South Florida, played 16 total games in the D-League during the 2011-12 season. He appeared in eight games for the Iowa Energy, averaging 16.8 points and 11 rebounds before being traded to Fort Wayne, where he averaged 11.1 points and 8.5 rebounds through eight games with the team. Darnell Dodson was drafted by the Mad Ants in fourth round of the 2012 NBA Development League Draft.
