The Mad Ants (8-11) upset the Maine Red Claws (12-6) 103-93 in front of their home crowd for 1 of only 4 games in Fort Wayne this month.

The Red Claws controlled the first half behind Noel Felix’s 10 points and 9 rebounds, they led 54-48 after the first two quarters of play.

The Mad Ants took control in the third quarter outscoring the Red Claws 34-11. Kyle McAlarney scored 10 third quarter points for the Ants as they led 82-65 going into the fourth quarter.

The Red Claws went on a 9-2 run to start off the fourth quarter. They outscored the Mad Ants in the fourth quarter 28-21, but could not fully recover from an 11 point 3rd quarter performance as the Ants went on to capture their second victory over the Red Claws this season.

Ron Howard led all scorers with 25 points, Oliver Lafayette finished with 19 points and 11 assists. McAlarney and Sean Sonderleiter contributed 19 and 15 respectively.

The Red Claws finished with 6 players in double figures led by Will Blalock who finished with 19 points on 6 of 10 shooting from the floor. Terrell Harris scored 15 off the bench and Felix finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The Mad Ants fly out Erie tomorrow to take on the BayHawks tomorrow in Erie for a 7:00 start time. Maine will play at home against the Springfield Armor on Friday night.
