Taylor Kinzer is making his way into professional baseball, as the former Homestead standout left from Fort Wayne International Airport Tuesday afternoon for the L.A. Angels spring training complex in Phoenix.
Kinzer will spend the next five to six day at the complex working out for the organization that drafted him in the 24th round last week.
A pitcher, Kinzer expects to play for the Angels' Pioneer League Rookie Ball team in Orem, Utah starting June 23rd.
Kinzer just finished his sophomore season at Taylor University, going 8-0 on the mound.
