The Fort Wayne Mad Ants announced today that they have acquired forward, Chris Porter. To make room for Chris on the roster, the Mad Ants have waived center, Sean Sonderleiter.
Porter, a 6’7” forward out of Auburn University, averaged 14.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2 steals per game during his senior year. He was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the 2000 NBA Draft. He played in 51 games for the Golden State Warriors during his rookie season, where he averaged 8.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. Porter has also played professionally in the CBA, Italy, USBL, ABA, Portugal, the Philippines, and China.
Porter is expected to appear in tonight’s game against the Canton Charge in Canton, Ohio. The game will tip off at 7:00 PM.
