Komets Lose Three More To Norfolk

Fort Wayne, IN ---The Komets announced the following player moves today:

Garrett Klotz (LW), Matt Kennedy (RW) and Ryan Hegarty (D) have been recalled from Fort Wayne to Norfolk (AHL).

Forwards John Dunbar and Ron Cramer have been called up to Fort Wayne from Pensacola (SPHL).

Dunbar, 21, is the current goal-scoring leader among active players with Pensacola with 11 goals after scoring the first goal of the game in last night’s 3-2 shootout loss at Louisiana.  Dunbar also has 12 assists and 23 points after 27 games with the Ice Flyers.  The rookie forward skated four seasons in the AJHL with Calgary earning a spot on the 2008-09 AJHL All-Rookie Team and was selected to the 2009-10 AJHL All-Star Team.  Dunbar participated in this year’s Komet training camp before joining for Komet assistant coach Gary Graham in Pensacola at the start of the season.

Cramer, 24, has skated 16 games with Pensacola scoring four goals and nine points.  The rookie made his pro debut last season appearing in two games with Cincinnati in the ECHL.  Cramer completed four seasons in the CHL at Robert Morris University last season and was named to the 2009-10 NCAA (CHA) All-Tournament Team.

Dunbar and Cramer are both expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Komets host Cincinnati at 7:30pm.

The Komets started this weekends’ series of three games in three nights against the Cincinnati Cyclones with a 2-1 shootout win last night at Cincinnati.  In addition to tonight’s home tilt against Cincinnati, the Komets will host the Cyclones again tomorrow at 5pm.

Komet games are webcast at www.komets.com at Xfinity KometCast and aired on WOWO Radio AM 1190 and FM 92.3 with Bob Chase calling the play-by-play.
