Komets Hold First Scrimmage

FORT WAYNE, IN. (WANE) - Day two of training camp saw the Komets take to the ice for their first scrimmage at Memorial Coliseum on Saturday afternoon. The team skated for an hour while head coach Al Sims and several members of the front office looked on.

A young, but talented defensive unit looked sharp for most of the session, but Sims noted afterwards that there were no real standouts from the first live action the team faced. Sims did note that this isn't a bad thing, but rather solidifies the notion that everyone in camp is of the talent level to compete in the ECHL.

The Komets will hold their annual media day on Monday afternoon at the Coliseum. The team will hold another scrimmage later in the day.
