Komets Cut Ten From Roster

Fort Wayne, IN -- The Komets announced Sunday that the Fort Wayne preseason roster has been trimmed by 10 players.

The following players have been released:
Ricky Helmbrecht – Defense
Tim Buttery—Defense
Mike Hoban—Forward
Brayden Metz—Forward
Seth Ronsberg—Forward
Cory Park—Forward
Patrick Knowlton—Forward
J.P. Chabot—Forward
Matt Atsof—Forward
John Dunbar—Forward

The Fort Wayne preseason roster includes five goaltenders, nine defensemen and 12 forwards. An updated roster is attached to this release.

The Komets will host Evansville in the second and final exhibition game of the preseason today at 5pm at the Memorial Coliseum. In the first tune-up, the Komets stumbled 6-3 last night on Coliseum ice to the IceMen.
