FORT WAYNE, IN. - Newly resigned Komets Colin Chaulk and Kaleigh Schrock traded in their sticks for whistles on Saturday afternoon, playing the role of hosts at the first ever Chaulk/Schrock Adult Ball Hockey Tournament. The two-day event welcomed amateur teams of seven players to the Lutheran Health Sports Center for fast-paced 24-minute games. For Chaulk, its just the latest stop in a busy off-season that has included some light traveling while hosting youth hockey clinics.

Not far from either players mind this weekend is the current health of Komets goalie Nick Boucher. The 31-year-old underwent hip surgery on Thursday afternoon and the damage done was worse than doctors originally anticipated. Boucher had a micro-fracture procedure done on the hip which could add up to an additional two months to his recovery time. Current estimates have Boucher returning to the ice in January. The Komets are actively searching for another goalie to fill the void in the mean time.
