EVANSVILLE, IN. - The Komets opened the second half of the ECHL season with a come from behind win on the road at Evansville, winning by a final of 4-2.
The IceMen jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead after the first period behind goals from Daniel Tretrault and Josh Beaulieu - but that would be it for Evansville.
In the second period Brandon Marino netted his 13th and 14th goals of the season, sandwiching a score from John Dunbar. Brett Smith added his 9th goal of the season in the third period for insurance.
The Komets return to the ice on Wednesday when they visit Kalamazoo.
