FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Of the 34 players listed on Fort Wayne's training camp roster 20 of them are forward, creating a fierce competition for spots on the regular season roster.
Of the 20 newcomer Brandon Marino (who scored 41 goals last year in Quad City) and J.M. Rizk (20 goals for Komets last season) are both in AHL camp.
Coach Al Sims expects to see some AHL players trickle down to the Komets as early as this weekend. He adds that the roster will likely stay together through Saturday's exhibition opener at home against Evansville.
