Flint Snaps Fort Wayne's Winning Streak

Komets Fall To Generals, 3-1

FLINT, Mich. (WANE) - The Komets had their six-game winning streak snapped up in Michigan Saturday night as Flint topped Fort Wayne, 3-1.

Flint's John Ronan would score the only goal of the first period, netting one 16:58 into the frame.

In the second period Bryan Smolinski scored a shorthanded goal to give the Generals a 2-0 lead.

In the third Matt Woodard would score 12:27 into the frame to cut Flint's lead in half. However, Jamie Schaffsma would tally an empty-netter to set the final at 3-1.

The K's return home for a rematch with Flint Sunday at 5 p.m.
