PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. (WANE) - On night after beating Arizona 7-5, the Komets found themselves on the wrong end of an offensive game with the Sundogs Saturday falling 6-3.
Arizona built a 2-0 lead in the second before Bobby Chaumont put the Komets on the board at the 10:56 mark.
The Sundogs would respond with two more goals to make it a 4-1 game before the Komets would strike again in the second.
Chaumont would again light the lamp, this time on the powerplay with 1:49 remaining in the second as the K's trailed 4-2 heading into the third period.
Down 5-2 in the third, J.M. Rizk netted a powerplay goal at the 12:19 mark to round out the Komets scoring. Arizona's Tyler Butler had the game's final goal at the 15:12 mark.
Nick Boucher took the loss in net stopped 26 of 30 shots. Gerry Festa came on in relief stopping 13 of 15 shots.
The Komets next travel to Quad City on Friday.
