FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - After picking up the first win of the second half of the season Friday night with a 3-2 win over Tulsa, the Komets couldn't make it two wins in a row falling Saturday night to the Oilers, 2-1.
Despite firing 13 shots on goal in the first, the Komets had nothing to show for it. On the other hand, Tulsa only had seven shots, but scored on two of them to build a 2-0 lead after the first period.
After a scoreless second period, the Komets would finally get on the board in the third period on a goal from Frankie DeAngelis, but that was account for all of the scoring in the game.
Gerry Festa took the loss in net for the K's stopping 19 of 21 shots.
The Komets travel to Quad City Sunday.
