FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Saturday night, the Komets lost to last-place Flint 3-1.  The defeat snapped a six-game winning streak for the K's.

Hoping to start a new winning streak Sunday, the Generals had ideas of starting a streak of their own.

The Komets would jump on top quickly, just 1:34 into the game, after a Colin Chaulk goal.

Flint would answer with a goal of its own in the first period when Dan Lapointe slipped the puck past Nick Boucher.

With the game tied at one in the second period, Flint again reclaimed the lead after John Ronan scored.  But the Komets would counter about three minutes later when Sean O'Connor netted an unassisted goal at the 14:10 mark.

The second period would end with Brad MacMillan and Brandon Gentile exchanging fisticuffs.

In the final period, Flint grabbed the lead for good when Matt Moffat lit the lamp with an unassisted goal at the 5:44 mark.

Despite throwing 56 shots on net, the Komets were unable to respond dropping their second straight game to Filnt, 3-2.

The Komets will host Bloomington on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
