FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - For the first time since 1980, the Dayton Gems visiting the Memorial Coliseum.  However, Dayton would not leave The Jungle victorious as the Komets pulled out an overtime thriller, 2-1.

Matt Woodward lit the lamp for the first score of the game with a slap shot from the point to give the Komets a 1-0 after the first period.

After a relatively uneventful second period, Dayton tied the game in the third period, sending the game into overtime.

Just :39 into overtime with the Komets on the powerplay, P.C. Drouin netted the game-winner as the Komets improved to 7-2 on the season with their fourth straight win.

The Komets travel to Muskegon Sunday which should be interesting since it's the first meeting between the two teams since their melee a week ago.
