FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - With just five weeks and 15 games remaining in the ECHL regular season the Komets find themselves eight points out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Komets have a 27-28-2 record after going 1-2 last week. Fort Wayne scored just four goals total in three games last week, including getting shutout at home on Sunday.

One bright spot has been the play of recently added Jeff Deslauriers. The goalie started all three games last week and stopped 84-of-88 shots for a 95.5 save percentage and a 1.35 goals against average.

The Komets are 3-9 in the month of February. They host Toledo on Wednesday before play at South Carolina on Friday and Saturday.

On a positive note, the Komets have eight home games in March - most of any month this season.
