Komets host Dayton tomorrow

The Komets beat Quad City 3-2 Friday night as Fort Wayne opened its stretch of 15 games in 27 days on a high note.

Artem Podshendyalov opened the scoring at 15:48 in the first period to make it 1-0. However, Matt Duffy would score on a powerplay less than two minutes later to knot the game at one all after the first period.

In the second period Podshendyalov would assists on goals from Brett Smith and Chris Auger as the Komets would build a 3-1 lead heading into the third.

Obi Aduba would score a powerplay goal at 17:07 in the third period to cut the lead to 3-2, but the Komets would hang on to win their fourth in a row against Quad City.

Nick Boucher stopped 30 of 32 shots for the Komets for the 200th win of his career.

The Komets host Dayton tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m.
