FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Komets are off to a solid start in the second half of the ECHL season as Fort Wayne beat Evansville 4-2 on Saturday on their only game since the all-star break.

The Komets will play at Kalamazoo on Wednesday. They turn around to host K-Zoo on Friday and Cincinnati on Saturday.

On Wednesday the Komets should bolster their roster. Thomas Beauregard should be ready to play after three weeks recovering from a shoulder injury.

Additionally, the Komets signed Matt Syrocznski last Friday. The 2010 IHL playoff MVP could suit up at some point this week.

However, Blake Sebring says expect Colin Chaulk to be out two or three more weeks.

Also included in this week's ITZ is a breakdown of the Komets goalie situation, including the latest on Nick Boucher who is recovering from offseason hip surgery.
