BELLMONT, IN. (WANE) - Concordia truly lived by the buzzer beater and died by the buzzer beater on Saturday. A half court heave as time expired in the semi-finals from senior Olivia Hahn gave the Cadets a thrilling 42-39 win over a 22-3 NorthWood team that simply would not go away. But Concordia fell on an equally improbably three-pointer to Hamilton Heights later that night in the regional championship game by a final of 65-62.
Earlier in the day, that same Hamilton Heights team narrowly avoided falling to Norwell as the Huskies handed the Knights a 60-58 loss.
