FORT WAYNE, IN. (WANE) - Playing their patented slow down game, DeKalb sent Snider packing in the opening round of sectional play at Carroll High School, defeating the Panthers 54-47. The game remained tight throughout the opening 16 minutes before the Barons extended their winning streak to seven games by pulling away in the second half.
Earlier in the night at Charger Fieldhouse, Columbia City cruised past East Noble 74-28 behind a flurry of three-pointers.
In Hamilton, Canterbury made it a season sweep of Blackhawk Christian. After winning the previous match-up between the two schools during the regular season, the Cavaliers advanced to play another day 53-44.
