Canterbury, Hamilton win first round games

Canterbury topped Elkhart Christian while host Hamilton hammered Howe Military Monday night at Hamilton high school as boys basketball sectionals tipped off at 1A sectional 51.
In the only local sectional playing, Canterbury beat Elkhart Christian, 55-43.
The Cavs advance to face Hamilton on Friday night at 6 p.m. Hamilton jumped out to a 23-0 lead before beating Howe, 67-29.
1A sectional 51 action continues tomorrow night with Keystone playing Bethany Christian at 6 p.m. followed by Lakewood Park Christian against Blackhawk Christian at 7:30 p.m.
