The Trojans are just one step away from playing for a state title as the Elmhurst will battle Gary Wallace in semi-state action Saturday in Lafayette.
That game will start at approxiametly 6 p.m. eastern as it follows the 2A contest that tips at 4 p.m.
The Trojans are coming off an 88-85 regional championship win over Wawasee in Blackford Saturday night where the Warriors hit 19 three pointers to stay in the game. Elmhurst was led by Pervis Hall's 35 points while Evan Cleveland scored 19.
Elmhurst heads into Saturday's game with an 18-5 record. Gary Wallace is 18-4 this year. The Hornets are led by 6-foot-6 junior forward Branden Dawson. Dawson is considered one of the best underclassmen in the nation. He's ranked by recruiting website rivals.com as the no. 16 recruit in the nation for the class of 2011. He's already been offered scholarships by Purdue, Indiana, Minnesota, Georgetown, Michigan State, and UCLA.
