Homestead beat Norwell 75-65 on Thursday night to improve to 6-0 in NHC play and clinch at least a share of the conference title.
Homestead now improves to 6-0 in NHC play, 18-0 overall. The Spartans can win the NHC title outright with a win at Columbia City next Tuesday. Norwell wraps up NHC play 6-1 and can earn a share of the NHC title only if Homestead loses to Columbia City.
Zach Terrell paced Homestead on Thursday with 26 points while Nick Gamble added 18. Norwell was led by Caleb Featherston with 23.
In other action Trent Van Horn led Canterbury with 30 points as the Cavaliers beat Bishop Luers for the second year in a row 78-64. Jaylon Smith led Luers with 25 points. The Knights were playing their first game without injured star sophomore James Blackmon, Jr. Blackmon tore the ACL in his left knee during a game on Saturday. The Indiana University recruit will miss the rest of the season.
