Wednesday Girls Sectionals Recap

Carroll used a balanced attack on offense to beat North Side 55-48 to headline Wednesday's girls sectional basketball action.

Carroll was led by Madison Peterson's 11 points. Amy Poynter netted 10 while Emily Martin added nine.

North Side's Sierra Miranda was the game's leading scorer, tallying 25 points in a losing effort.

In the late 4A game at Carroll it was Northrop hammering East Noble 56-24.  Northrop's Paige Wright led all scorers with 15 points.

The Bruins will now take on Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game follows Columbia City and Snider at 6 p.m.

In 2A action at Wabash it was Manchester winning Wednesday's early game by downing Southwood 50-46. In the late game at Wabash it was Northfield edging North Miami 29-28. That means Manchester and Northfield will square off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday following Cass versus Wabash at 6 p.m.
