Purdue recruit Bryson Scott scored 28 points to lead 4A no. 7 Northrop over Columbia City 70-56 on Tuesday night to headline the area's basketball action.
3A no. 5 Norwell got 28 points apiece from Kyle Fillman and Josh Vanmeter as the Knights topped Leo 99-93.
Notre Dame recruit V.J. Beachem tallied 24 points in leading New Haven over Wayne 70-66.
In girls action 4A no. 9 Snider edged Homestead 66-65. IUPUI recruit Akilah Sims led the Panthers with 27 points while Western Michigan recruit Meredith Shipman tallied 17. Carmen Lowe netted 17 for the Spartans.
In other girls action North Side topped Woodlan 53-52 to snap a 30-game losing streak.
