4A no. 9 Snider edged 3A no. 1 Norwell 61-59 in girls hoops to headline the area's basketball slate on Wednesday.

The Panthers were led by IUPUI signee Akilah Sims with 18 points. Snider improves to 12-4 on the season.

Norwell was led by Miami University signee Jessica Rupright. The senior netted 17 points and is now just 25 away from breaking the school scoring record. Norwell falls to 13-2 with the loss.

At Concordia the 3A no. 6 Cadets beat Woodlan 58-44 behind 27 points from Courtney Smith. Concordia improves to 11-3 this season.

At Northrop the Bruins got 22 points from Aleah Swary and 21 from Alaina Schwartz to beat Huntington North 71-52. Taylor Pursifull led the Vikings with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

3A no. 13 Leo handled Fremont 69-57 behind 17 points, 10 assists, and seven steals from Hannah Field. Keanna Gary added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Lions.

4A no. 13 Warsaw topped Penn 52-50 as Lindsay Baker netted 17 points for the Tigers.

2A no. 13 Wabash bested Cass 48-29. Kyleigh Hampton led the way for Wabash with 22 points.
