1/15 Prep Basketball Recap

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Daniel Woll tallied 31 points while teammate Derek Hinen chipped in 27 as Columbia City beat Huntington North 71-64 in a rivalry game at Donald S. Weeks Gymnasium on Tuesday night.

Huntington North was led by Kalvin Miller with 23 points while Noah Reed added 13.

At Canterbury Cavaliers senior Trent Van Horn led all scorers with 26 points but it wasn't enough as Snider earned a hard-fought win, 65-60. Stephen Halstead paced Snider with 20 points while Leander Williams added 16.

Jescus Mitchell tallied 21 points while his brother Justin added 18 as Wayne bested Blackhawk Christian 57-44.

Zac Crosby of Lakewood Park hit the 1,000 point milestone by pouring in 27 points as the Panthers beat Woodlan 67-57.

In girls hoops 4A no. 17 Homestead had no problem with Wayne, beating the Generals 84-26. Sydney Buck and Josie Fisher each had 19 to lead the Spartans. Grace German added 15. Joey Stanford led Wayne with seven points.
