FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The NHC boys took center stage Saturday night with two of the conferences undefeateds going head-to-head in Ossian.
Norwell used a fast start and just built on it throughout the game as the Knights handed New Haven its first loss of the season, 78-49. Josh VanMeter led the Knights attack with a game-high 21 points while Caleb Featherston had 12 and David Vogel and Grant Baker each chipped in 11. V.J. Beachem led the Bulldogs with 17 points.
Norwell is now in a tie for first place in the NHC after Homestead knocked off Bellmont 71-39. The Spartans are 14-0 overall and 4-0 in the NHC along with the Knights.
Columbia City entered the night perfect in the NHC, but Austin Macy's bucket with :04 left lifted DeKalb to a 47-46 win over the Eagles.
