FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Homestead bested New Haven 24-13 on Friday night to win the conference title outright as the Sparties have now won at least a share of the NHC title for six years in a row.

Homestead quarterback Matt Skowronek threw for 135 yards and rushed for two touchdowns to help the Spartans finished the regular season unbeaten at 9-0. Frank Martin rushed for 90 yards to pace the Spartans on the ground. Homestead faces undefeated Snider next Friday at Spuller Stadium in the first round of sectional play in what will be the Highlight Zone "Game of the Week."

At Dean Gorsuch Field Carroll took care of business as the Chargers beat DeKalb 63-11 to earn their seventh win of the season. Carroll quarterback Chris Terry threw for 199 yards and three touchdowns. Jimmy Crumley rushed for 141 yards and two scores as well for the Chargers.

East Noble continue to roll as the Knights bested Bellmont 51-10 at Bob Worthman Stadium. The Knights are now 7-2 and will host a 7-2 Concord team next week in sectional action.

Down in Ossian Norwell couldn't earn the program's first win of the season as Columbia City beat the Knights 26-6. Justin Bachelder caught two passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns for the Eagles. Quarterback Travis Herbst was 10-for-20 passing for 192 yards and two scores.
