FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Lakeland remained unbeaten on the season, moving to 8-0 with a convincing 32-14 win over Concordia in a non-conference tilt. The Lakers will battle Churubusco for the NECC championship next Friday.

Meanwhile, the Eagles moved to 7-0 in conference, outlasting Fairfield on the road 29-23 behind a monster performance from running back Jason Nicodemus who rushed for 300 yards. Churubusco has to sweat this one out however, as the Eagles trailed 14-7 in the second half before rallying for the win, setting up next week's showdown with Lakeland.

Fremont earned its second NECC win of the season with a 14-8 win over Angola. Prairie Heights had little trouble with West Noble, winning on the road convincingly 28-6.
