FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - In a battle of unbeatens, Snider was left standing at 6-0 as the Panthers defeated North Side 17-6 Friday night. In a game marred by rain and poor field conditions, Snider's offensive line proved a major advantage, as the Panthers controlled the clock and were able to consistently run the football. The much vaunted Snider defense also limited C.J. Jackson and company to just a single touchdown as the Redskins suffered their first loss of the season.
Across town, an embattled Bishop Luers team earned a convincing 27-0 win over Concordia. Nick Morken and Charles Gaston both contributed a rushing touchdown each, while Quinn Cook connected with Brandon Dock for a score through the air as the Knights improved to 4-1 in conference.
Bishop Dwenger got back in the win column Friday night, rolling over Wayne by a 27-0 margin as well. The Saints took an early 13-0 first half lead on rushing touchdowns from Cody Miller and Ryan Cinadr and never looked back. Dwenger hosts Indianapolis Chatard next Saturday night.
Northrop stepped outside the conference but into the win column for a third time this season, cruising past visiting Fenton (Ill.) 42-6 at Spuller Stadium. The Bruins led 29-0 at the half and continued to pour it on after recess, getting touchdowns from both Colin Brockhouse and Josh Stein. At 3-2 in the SAC, Northrop visits Concordia next Friday.
At South Side, the Archers fell to visiting Indianapolis Tech 19-12. Donovan Clark and Dominique Gleason both recorded rushing touchdowns for South Side, but Tech scored 17 unanswered points in the fourth, including the winning touchdown with just one minute remaining.
