FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Homestead and New Haven both stayed undefeated with wins on Friday night as the Spartans crushed DeKalb while the Bulldogs edged Columbia City in overtime.
Homestead scored 24 points in the first quarter in a 44-6 win over the Barons. Frank Martin rushed for three touchdowns to lead the Spartans as they improved to 6-0.
At Max Gandy Athletic Field New Haven's Anthony Moore rushed 26 times for 175 yards and three touchdowns as the Bulldogs won 28-27 in overtime. Columbia City's Sam Dailey rushed 28 times for 89 yards and three touchdowns to pace the Eagles.
In Decatur Carroll trailed 14-13 at before exploding after a one-hour weather delay at half for a come-from-behind 37-14 win. Jimmy Crumley led Carroll with 123 yards rushing and a touchdown while Chris Terry added two rushing scores.
East Noble's Nic Weimer threw for 306 yards and three touchdowns as the Knights topped Norwell 37-14. Piercen Harnish rushed for two touchdowns to pace Norwell.
