FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Lakeland remained perfect for the season and in the NECC Friday night, winning on the road at Eastside 37-21. Eastside took a brief lead in the second quarter when Blake Baker hooked up with Colin Dove for a touchdown, but it was short lived. The Lakers responded with a scoring drive of their own, capped by a Devin Demos rushing touchdown. Later in the half, Taylor Raatz followed suit with a 49-yard touchdown run. This sets up a battle of 6-0 teams next week now as Fairfield defeated Angola 34-14.
Elsewhere, Churubusco also stayed perfect on Friday, trouncing West Noble 60-0. Jason Nicodemus carried 11 times for 112 yards and four touchdowns for the Eagles. He also added a 35-yard touchdown reception.
Huntington North's road trip to Marion was postponed due to inclement weather on Friday - the Vikings will make it up on Saturday.
