FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Snider and North Side remained perfect through week five, setting up a huge game in week six that will go a long way in deciding the SAC Victory Bell.
North Side went out of conference at Chambers Field and hammered Mishawaka 35-7. The Redskins are now 5-0 on the season. They came in ranked no. 14th in this week's 5A state poll.
Snider was at home and topped Concordia 42-13 to move to 5-0. Je'Noire Smith rushed for three touchdowns to pace Snider. The Panthers came in ranked no. 3 in this week's 5A poll. Snider travels to North Side next week in what will be the Highlight Zone's "Game of the Week."
At Bishop Luers the Knights were playing their first game under interim head coach Kyle Lindsay. His father Matt Lindsay is on a leave of absence. The Knights topped Bishop Luers 27-7.
In a shootout at South Side the Archers got a big kickoff return for a touchdown late in the second quarter from Aaron Thomas but ultimately fell to Northrop 43-40.
In Indianapolis Bishop Dwenger and Cathedral were tied at 7 but the Irish pulled away to win 42-7. Dwenger came in ranked 12th in 4A while Cathedral was no. 5 in 4A.
