FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Churubusco continued to exert it's dominance on the NECC, trouncing visiting Angola 42-0 on Friday night. The Eagles were led by a two-touchdown effort from all-state running back Jason Nicodemus, highlighted by a 44-yard scamper in the first quarter in which the senior broke several tackles. Cory Miller and Braydon Shively each added rushing touchdowns as well. The Eagles are now 5-0.
In Huntington, the Vikings outlasted Anderson in an offensive shootout 62-49. Huntington North quarterback Drew Schnitz came out firing, connecting with Caleb Richisen on a pair of first half touchdowns, on his way to a state record 9 touchdown passes. Richisen tied a state record with six touchdown receptions. The Vikings close in on .500 with the win, improving to 2-3 on the year.
