FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - North Side and Snider both improved to 3-0 in overall with solid performances this Friday.

At Zollner Stadium North Side topped Bishop Dwenger 26-13. It was the second win in a row against Dwenger for the Redskins, who snapped BD's amazing 38-game SAC winning streak last season. Senior quarterback C.J. Jackson led the way for North Side with a standout performance in the fourth quarter when he threw a touchdown pass to Demond Gaston and ran for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Spuller Stadium supremacy belongs to Snider as the Panthers topped Northrop 48-14. Snider quarterback Brandon Phelps led the Panthers with three touchdown passes while Tyrell Swain rushed for 91 yards and two scores. Colin Brockhouse went 19-of-40 passing for Northrop for 263 yards and two touchdowns to go with two interceptions.

At Bishop Luers the Knights started slow but eventually pulled away in a 31-6 win over South Side. Jaylon Smith opened the scoring with a 10-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Luers improves to 2-1 on the season and in the SAC. The Knights travel to Toledo Whitmer next Friday night.

Wayne snapped a 13-game losing streak last week at S.B. Riley, but couldn't make it two in a row as the Generals fell at home to Concordia 40-17. Concordia quarterback David Morrison threw three touchdown passes - two to Marq Rogers - to lead the Cadets.
