FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Behind a dominating second half and a monster performance from senior running back Brad Busse, Bellmont improved to a 2-0 on the season with a 41-17 win at South Adams. Busse carried the ball just 12 times, but gained 223 yards and scored four touchdowns - three coming in the second half. The Starfires led 17-14 at the half, but were outscored 27-0 in the final 24 minutes of play.
In Carroll, the Chargers were very impressive for the second straight week as they improved to 2-0 with a 48-28 win over visiting Delta. Quarterback Chris Terry was 9-16 for 141 yards and three touchdowns as Carroll wracked up over 400 yards of total offense.
Perhaps the biggest winner of the night - that would be DeKalb. The Barons snapped a 22-game losing streak with a 26-13 win over heavily favored Garrett. Senior quarterback Evan Cochran threw for 133 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for another 108 yards and a score.
Homestead ran its record to 2-0, blowing out Warsaw 63-7, behind six touchdowns from running back Grayson Bastin. The Spartans host East Noble next Friday in their conference opener.

Sticking with the theme of offense - Columbia City rebounded from a week one loss, to roll over Whitko 43-13. Adam Neely set the tone early and often for the Eagles, carrying 31 times for 215 yards and three touchdowns.
East Noble made it two-for-two this season with a 48-7 win over Northridge. Starting quarterback Nic Weimer finished 13-of-21 for 248 yards and three touchdowns - his favorite target tonight was junior wideout Grey Fox who hauled in eight catches for 143 yards and touchdown.
