Week 2 NECC & others recap

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Churubusco topped Central Noble 61-6 to move to 2-0 overall and in NECC play.

Busco is tied at the top of the conference with Fairfield and Lakeland. The Falcons beat Prairie Heights 23-14 in week two while the Lakers topped Fremont 46-13.

Angola, coming off a big win in week one where the Hornets scored 56 points, got shutout by Leo at Trine University 49-0. It was an emotional game for the Hornets as starting cornerback Samuel Gardner is in a coma after an ATV accident early Tuesday morning.

Eastside earned the program's first win of the season as the Blazers topped West Noble 41-6.

In NCC action Huntington North fell to 0-2 in the Trent Fine era as the Vikings lost 51-25 at North Side.

In TRC play, Whitko lost the third Eel River Rivlary game in a row falling to Columbia City 43-13.
