11/06 Friday Night Highlight Zone

NORTHEAST, Ind. (WANE) - For the first time this postseason the skies were dry and the fields were free of mud. That all came in handy as no one wanted their shiny Sectional title trophies to get dirty.

In 5A it was Snider bringing home the hardware with a win at Warsaw. The Tigers tied things up at 20 in the third quarter on a 94 yard fumble return, but the Panthers scored the games final 13 points for a 33-20 win. They'll host Carmel at Regional.

In 4A, Bishop Dwenger pitched their sixth straight shutout, downing Columbia City 56-0. They'll host Delta in Regional, after the Eagles beat Wayne 18-6 in another 4A sectional final.

In 3A, the defending state champs were de-throned, as Eastbrook shutout Bellmont 34-0. The normally stout Bellmont run defense fell victim to the long run, as Eastbrook scored on five runs of 47 yards or more.

It's a familiar look atop the 2A sectional as Bishop Luers defeated Winchester 68-0. The Knights will hit the road to take on Lewis Cass at Regional.

And finally, in 1A it was Southern Wells and Southwood battling it out for the second straight season. Despite a lower scoring game, it was the Raiders coming out on top for the second straight season. They'll travel to Knightstown for Regional.
