PONETO, Ind. (WANE) - The post-season came to an end for the Raiders Friday night as Southern Wells fell to Lafayette Central Catholic 47-13 at semistate.

Southern Wells knew coming in that Central Catholic possessed a strong passing attack. That strength was clear as the Knights jumped out to a 21-0 second quarter lead thanks to three passing touchdowns from quarterback Chris Mills.

The Raiders finally got onto the board midway through the second as Luke Roush burst through the line and outran the Knights' secondary for a 53 yard touchdown run. The score was the first on the ground that Central Catholic has given up this season. After the PAT was missed, the Raiders trailed 21-6.

Central Catholic added another touchdown pass, Mills' 4th of the half, to take a 28-6 lead into the locker room at half.

The Knights were able to stay in control in the 2nd half for a 47-13 win and a semistate title.

#1 ranked Central Catholic moves on to the 1A State championship game Friday at 3:30pm at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. They'll face fellow undefeated, #3 Fountain Central.

The Raiders finish their season 11-3.
