FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Bishop Dwenger won its fourth consecutive sectional championship on Friday with a 56-0 dismantling of Columbia City. The Saints' defense was once again the star, posting its sixth consecutive shutout. Dwenger hasn't been scored upon since September 25th, in a 31-21 win over Wayne.
The high powered Saints' offense turned in a special performance
as well. Senior Remound Wright scored on two touchdown runs in the
first quarter to put Dwenger up 14-0.
In the second quarter the Saints added took to the air as
Wade Markley hit Landon Feicther on a touchdown pass to put the
Saints up 42-0 at halftime.
Bishop Dwenger (12-0) will now host fellow undefeated Delta at Regional. Columbia City finsihes their season 4-8.
