MIDDLEBURY, Ind. (WANE) - The Bishop Dwenger defense sent an early message to Northridge in Friday night's sectional semi-final game - the Raiders would never reach the end zone.
Going for it on fourth-and-goal, Northridge drew the Saints offsides, giving the Raiders first-and-goal from the one yard line. Bishop Dwenger would then stop Northridge on four consecutive plays creating the turnover clearly telling the host Raiders scoring would be impossible.
Scoreless until the second quarter, Bishop Dwenger finally opened the scoring with a Remound Wright touchdown run. Wright would have two scores on the night.
The Saints would also use the passing game to reach the end zone. Landon Feichter hauled in a touchdown reception.
The defense would score as well when Scott Campbell returned a blocke field goal for six points as Bishop Dwenger pitched their fifth-straight shutout, 28-0 over Northridge.
The second-ranked Saints will return to Zollner Stadium to decided a sectional championship when they host Columbia City (4-7) Friday night.
