A win this week and three local teams will be making the trip to Lucas Oil Stadium, as Bishop Dwenger, Bishop Luers, and Southern Wells have all advanced to semi-state.
In this week's edition of Inside The Zone, The News-Sentinel's Reggie Hayes and Newschannel 15's Glenn Marini break down the upcoming matchups.
In 4A, Dwenger travels to Lowell, as the Saints and Red Devils meet at this level for the third time in as many seasons. Last year at Zollner Stadium, Dwenger hammered Lowell 38-22. Two years ago at Lowell Chris Svarczkopf's team was beaten 10-7 in a tight game. This year's game will be play on Saturday at 6 p.m. eastern at Lowell.
In 2A, Bishop Luers survived last week with a double-overtime win at Cass, 54-53. The Knights will host Rensselaer Central (11-2) at Luersfield this Friday at 8 p.m. eastern. Rensselaer beat Fairfield last week 35-0.
In 1A, Southern Wells went on the road last week to hammer Knightstown, 41-14. The Raiders will host 1A's top-ranked team in Lafayette Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. eastern this Friday. LCC (13-0) beat Culver Community last week, 56-0.
