FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The IHSAA is not currently looking into the possible forfeiture of a Bishop Luers win against Wayne according to assistant commissioner Robert Faulkens.
Faulkens told WANE at 3:30 on Friday that the office has not been notified of any situation regarding the Luers-Wayne game that took place on September 14. Luers won that game 27-7.
A report by the Journal Gazette on Friday said Luers head coach Steve Keefer stated "There is a situation pending" and that the game "appears" to be in question.
WANE was unable to get in touch with the Luers athletic department.
If Luers does end up forfeiting the game it would be their second forfeit in the last two seasons. They beat South Side 53-0 last year but had to forfeit by playing an ineligible player in the fourth quarter of the blow-out win.
