FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Homestead High School senior Seth Coate has given University of Saint Francis Head Football Coach Kevin Donley a verbal commitment to attend USF beginning next fall.

Coate, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound wide receiver/safety, was recently named the Spartans most valuable player. He finished the 2012 season with 34 receptions for 563 yards and seven touchdowns. He served as HHS long snapper and played on special teams. Coate is also a starter on the HHS varsity basketball team. Coate chose USF over Grand Valley State and Ohio Dominican.

Seth is the son of Doug Coate, USF running backs coach and recruiting coordinator, and Julie.
